From planning applications running parallel with the permitting process through to site development and expansion we have specific expertise of the issues inherent in the operation of a waste site.
Who we’ve helped
We successfully appealed on behalf of an animal by-products operator against a local council’s refusal to grant a certificate of lawful use for its rendering facility. The certificate was granted following a planning inquiry.
We secured an interim injunction against a local authority, preventing it from giving effect to or enforcing a temporary stop notice served on land which was under development. The temporary stop notice was subsequently withdrawn by the council.
We submitted a claim for Judicial Review against a local authority in relation to the grant of planning permission for a client who had objected to the application due to the impact the development would have had on its business. The claim was conceded by the council and the planning permission was quashed.
When a Stop Notice was served by the local authority on our client’s property, alleging a change of use, we acted on their behalf to submit a claim for Judicial Review and interim injunction. The Stop Notice was subsequently withdrawn.
